User Interface refinements for speed and simplicity
In this new version of Android 2.3 user interface is refined in so many ways that it makes learning easy, faster user and power efficient. It has a very simplified visible themes of colors which are against black create vividness and opposite to the notification bar, menu and many other parts of UI. Google made changes in settings and menu which enables user to control and navigate over the features of system and devices very easily.
Faster editing and text input
The Android 2.3 brings redesigned soft keyboard which makes editing and text input faster. It has re-positioned and reshaped keys which enables user to get improved targeting, pressing keys easily and faster. It make keyboard typing more accurate and high speed. In this version keyboard will also show dictionary suggestions in a vivid style which make reading easily.
One-touch word selection and copy/paste
In Gingerbread 2.3 user can select a word by press hold while entering text. After that he can copy the content and paste where user want. User can choose Free-selection mode by pressing and hold on a word enters – by this user could adjust the selected area and drag as needed for new positions. When user do text entry, he can enter in a cursor mode, cursor can be re-positioned easily after that and then he can drag the cursor arrow.

More Control to manage applications
In Gingerbread 2.3 there is a shortcut which help to manage applications. This shortcut of Manage Application will be appear in the Option Menu of Launcher and Home screen. It will make checking and managing of application activity very easy. When user reach to Manage Applications, user will see there a Running tab shown a list of all running apps and it will show details too that how much memory and storage each application is using. Getting these details user can manage data usage according to his limitations of data plan.

Calling via the Internet
Through SIP account you can make voice call via the internet. Internet calling number can be added by user to any contact and user can call from Contact/Dialer app. For internet calling users have to create an account on SIP provided. Internet calling through SIP platform and its calling features are based on their carriers and manufacturers.
