Hi, This is a guide to unlock bootloader Moto X Play. It is an easy and safe guide to unlock bootloader Motorola X Play. If you want to root your phone or use custom recovery like CWM and TWRP recovery on your Moto X Play, then you must be unlock your Moto X Play bootloader.
Preparation of unlock bootloader Moto X Play:
1. In this process wipe your data, so take a backup of your phone.
2. Your phone battery should charged 50%-80% minimum.
3. Make sure proper power backup of your PC.

Follow the easy steps to unlock bootloader Moto X Play:
Step 1: Download and install Moto X Play USB driver on your PC and enable USB debugging mode on your Moto X Play Smartphone by this guide and OEM unlocking in developer option . Now download and extract Fast-boot tool then press and hold shift key in the keyboard and right click on extracted Fast boot tool folder and select “Open command window here”. See in this image.
Step 2: Now connect your Moto X Play Smartphone with PC via USB cable and type adb reboot bootloader to boot your phone in the bootloader or fastboot mode. (if this CMD command is not work for reboot bootloader or fastboot mode, then switch off your Moto X Play and press volume up and power button. You will get a vibration and your device will boot in recovery mode, then you select Reboot to Bootloader. Now your device will enter Fastboot mode). When your phone in the bootloader or fastboot mode, then you type fastboot devices in the command window then press enter key.
Note: This command show connected device in the command window and you can see your Smartphone serial number. If command window is not show your device serial number. Then install USB driver correctly or change your USB port of the PC.
Step 3: Type fastboot oem get_unlock_data in the command window then press enter key. This command will retrieve your unlock key codes and copy all codes in one line in notepad. See in the above image.
Step 4: Open official Motorola’s unlock bootloader site and create a free account or sign in by using Google+. Now paste the codes in the motorola’s site (step-6) and click on “Can my device be unlocked?” button. you also agree to be bound by the terms of the legal agreement and click on I Agree.
NOTE: If your device is unlockable, a blue “REQUEST UNLOCK KEY” button will appear. You will receive an email with your Unlock Key at the email address you used to register your account on Motorola’s unlock bootloader site. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder to make sure it wasn’t sent there by mistake.
Step 5: Now copy your unlock key from your Motorola UNLOCK KEY email and type fastboot oem unlock UNLOCK_KEY in the command window then press enter key. ( Replace your unlock key with UNLOCK_KEY in the command). see in this image.
Step 5: Now your device will be reboot automatically, that means your device bootloader is successfully unlocked .
